HIGHLIGHTING AND CONTOURING
Highlighting and contouring the facial feature is a technique used to enhance some facial feature.Although I personally believe that this technique is not an everyday application , i have seen a lot of ladies make the mistake of highlighting and contouring everyday.See simple step by step photo below:
Before
1.Highlight the bridge of the nose, forehead, under eyes and chin with one shade or 2 shades lighter foundation.
2.Contour the corners of the nose, hairline, cheeks and jawline with a darker fondation.
3.Blend with a beauty blender to give an even tone.
4.Apply powder shade according to how you have highlighted and contoured, lighter and darker shade of powder.

    1. Highlighting is when you want to highlight an area and make it stand out. Usually on your cheek bones and around your eyes. Contouring is when you need to darken an area to give it the illusion of looking smaller or deeper, Usually on the sides of the nose (if too broad) and underneath the cheek bones to give a more hollow look. Be careful. contouring and highlighting is not for a novice makeup artist. You can end up looking like you have black streaks down the sides of your face if not done properly.

  7. The importance of highlighting and contouring is,It makes your face more defined and perfectly sculpted.cause in highlighting you can create an illusion that your nose is pointed, slimmer, high check bones etc

  8. Thank you for step by stepping it for me! Kind of silly but since I’ve never highlighted or contoured anything I wondered if you just put highlight and contour on then blend it all or what?! Imagine what a mess I would’ve made! Can’t wait to go play now!
